Whenever we take a booking for a portrait shoot we require a $50 refundable holding deposit – no exceptions. It will not go into our bookings calendar otherwise. It’s later credited off whatever the client orders or refunded back onto their card at the viewing session. We’ve found this makes bookings more secure and validated – they’ve had to pay money towards it, so they value it more and treat it more preciously.
