It’s important to remember that everyone involved with working on the wedding can, and will, recommend you in the future – and not just the reception centres. There’s the usual car companies, florists and dress boutiques, but these are often booked well after the photographer so their recommendations would be too late by that stage.
The best people to develop relationships with are the wedding planners and celebrants. These need to be booked early on, around the same time as photographers, as often the good ones are booked out for ages! So getting in and building relationships with them are a great way to build contacts that will think of you when they’re asked to suggest a wedding photographer that they’ve worked with.
